IWK Brief Intensive Outreach Service

Hello! 

We are members from IWK's Brief Intensive Outreach Service. We are a multi-disciplinary team that provides intensive and acute support to parents and caregivers of children and youth with autism within HRM. Our overall goals (which are collaborative and individualized with each family and young person) are aimed at promoting safety and stabilization, increasing adaptive skills, addressing mental health concerns or other factors that may be affecting an individual's participation in vocation and recreation, fostering connection between families and their school and community, and building on the development of communication skills.

We know how important the programming and services hosted by Autism Nova Scotia are for many of the young people and families which we provide care and are happy to contribute to the cause and show our support on the Walk on June 7th. Please consider contributing, any small amount helps!
