The Neurosparkle Squad - Alana, Catherine and Zoe.
As families with daughters on the autism spectrum, we are walking to support Autism Nova Scotia and raise awareness for the autism community. Every step we take is dedicated to a brighter, more inclusive future for autistic individuals. We're grateful for your support as we work together to make a difference and help provide resources, advocacy, and opportunities for families like ours. Thank you for joining us on this journey!

Why I'm Walking
As a mother of 3, all on the autism spectrum, having a community that supports you and really gets you is invaluable. We have been a part of the autism community in Cape Breton for the last 20 years and Autism Nova Scotia has done so much for us. The social group provides an inclusive and loving group of friends for my daughter. The summer camp not only helps them build friendships and social skills, but it can provide some respite for us parents.
All of that being said, this is a non-profit organization and we rely on fundraising - just to give our kids a sense of belonging. That is why we walk! :) Please walk with us if you're so inclined, or consider making a donation to support our team - The NeuroSparkle Squad!
